This directory covers the 50 Russian universities we profile. Each card opens that university's own page, with its estimated fee, founding year, WDOMS status and, where our NBEMS dataset covers it, its FMGE record, so you can compare them before shortlisting.
The 48 universities in the main grid each have their own entry in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). That is a listing, not an approval: NMC approves no foreign university, and says on its study-abroad page that it endorses no list of them. Whether you can register in India depends on your degree meeting FMGL-2021: at least 54 months of study, a 12-month internship at the same university, English medium and a licence to practise in Russia. You then pass FMGE, which NMC's draft amendment of 11 August 2026 keeps in place “until National Exit Test (NEXT) comes into force”, and complete a 12-month internship in India. Universities we profile with a warning
These are not in the grid above. Read the warning on each university's page before you apply.
Its Faculty of Fundamental Medicine admits students to 30.05.01–03 (Medical Biochemistry, Biophysics and Cybernetics), not 31.05.01 General Medicine, according to its admissions site, and the university has no WDOMS entry of its own. It is not an MBBS route, and we do not place students here.
