About New Vision

New Vision University is a private non-profit institution founded in Tbilisi in 2013. Its Medical Doctor (MD) programme is one-cycle — 6 years, 360 ECTS, taught in English — and was accredited by NCEQE, Georgia's quality-enhancement centre, in November 2013 and re-accredited for seven years in November 2018; the university itself was re-authorized for six years in October 2019 and again in October 2025. The WDOMS entry (FAIMER ID F0003341) records the same NCEQE accreditation independently.

What separates New Vision from most private Georgian schools is that it built its own hospital: the university describes New Vision University Hospital as Georgia's sole non-commercial medical institution, alongside its New Vision Health Hub clinics, an NV-Genetics molecular laboratory, and the country's first non-profit blood bank — those are the university's own descriptions, and the campus at 11 Nodar Bokhua Street sits next to these facilities. Per WDOMS, graduates from 2014 onward are eligible to apply for ECFMG Certification, and the school meets the Intealth Recognized Accreditation Policy.

The FMGE record is the second-largest among the Georgian universities in our NBEMS dataset, after Tbilisi State: 1,354 New Vision candidates have sat the exam across the NBEMS reports and 515 passed — 38.04% lifetime, against a 2024 all-country average of 25.80%. Recent years sit in a steady band: 104 of 284 in 2024 (36.62%) and 86 of 253 in 2025 (33.99%), with the best year at 94 of 179 in 2021 (52.51%).

New Vision is one of the five universities on our Georgia roster — see the full MBBS in Georgia guide for the country-level costs, eligibility rules, and how these five compare.

MBBS Fee Structure - As Published by the University

Every figure below is the university's own published number, in USD.

ChargeAmount (USD)
Tuition per year$7,000
6-Year Tuition Total$42,000

New Vision's own MD programme page states "Annual tuition fee 7000 $" — and nothing else. The university does not say what the fee covers or excludes, and publishes no registration or hostel charge. Agent sites circulate extra figures ($300–500 admission fees, $2,000–3,500 hostel); none of those appear on newvision.ge, so we do not present them as the university's numbers.

Accommodation: New Vision publishes no hostel and no accommodation cost on its own site. Students rent privately in Tbilisi. Any hostel figure you see quoted for this university is an agent's figure, not the university's — ask us for current, honest rental ranges instead.

Note: Fees can change by academic year and are set by the university, not by us. Always confirm the current figures with A.J Trust before making any payment.

Why Study MBBS at New Vision?

Its Own University Hospital

New Vision runs its own hospital (non-commercial, by its own description) rather than only renting rotation slots elsewhere — clinical teaching happens on the university's own wards.

A 1,300-Candidate FMGE Record

515 of 1,354 passed lifetime (38.04%) across NBEMS reports — a large, checkable record, not a two-year sample.

Fee Published at Source

$7,000 a year, stated on the university's own MD page. What agents add on top is not the university's figure, and we say so.

ECFMG-Eligible Since 2014

Graduates can apply for ECFMG Certification, and the school meets the Intealth Recognized Accreditation Policy per WDOMS.

Fast, Defined Admissions

The university commits to arranging your interview within seven days of a complete application.

Private, So the 2026 Rule Doesn't Touch It

Georgia's state universities stop taking new international students from 2026–27; New Vision is private and keeps admitting.

Tbilisi - City at a Glance

Population

~1.37 million (Geostat, 1 Jan 2026)

Climate

Milder than most of Eastern Europe - short winters, hot summers

Country

Georgia

Tbilisi is Georgia's capital and by far its largest city — about 1.37 million residents as of January 2026, per Geostat, the national statistics office. Every university on this page is in Tbilisi, and so are their partner hospitals, so students spend all six years in one city. The city runs a two-line metro and an extensive bus network, and English is widely understood at the universities and larger clinics. Indian students are a visible community here: the eight Tbilisi universities in our FMGE dataset sent 2,415 candidates to the exam in 2025 alone.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about MBBS at New Vision

The university's own MD programme page states "Annual tuition fee 7000 $" — that is the whole published fee structure. New Vision does not publish a registration fee or a hostel charge, so any such add-ons you see quoted are agent figures, not the university's. Over 6 years the published tuition alone comes to $42,000. Confirm the current figure with A.J Trust before paying anything.
