Georgian National University SEU is a private university in Tbilisi — WDOMS records its Faculty of Medicine teaching since 2017, and SEU's own history page puts the whole university at up to 11,000 students across four faculties. The one-cycle "MEDICINE (ENGLISH)" programme awards the Medical Doctor qualification after 6 years and 12 semesters (360 ECTS), taught in English. The Council of Authorization of Higher Education Institutions granted SEU unconditional institutional authorization on 10 June 2021, and WDOMS records the medicine programme as accredited by NCEQE, Georgia's quality-enhancement centre, since 20 March 2017.
Clinical training is the part SEU talks about most: American Hospital Tbilisi is its exclusive affiliated clinic, the Kharazishvili Robotic Center at MMT Hospital is a second affiliated site, and the programme page lists over 30 partner clinical organisations, including Gudushauri National Medical Center and the S. Khechinashvili University Clinic. The faculty is a member of AMEE and AMSE, the European medical-education associations. Per the WDOMS sponsor notes, graduates from 2023 onward are eligible to apply for ECFMG Certification, and the school currently meets the Intealth Recognized Accreditation Policy — the pathway that keeps USMLE open.
SEU's FMGE record is short but strong where it counts. SEU's own "English-Taught Programs" fee PDF, linked from its Tuition Fee page, lists "MEDICAL DOCTOR (MD) For Foreign Citizens — 5900 $". One honest caveat: the PDF does not print "per year" on that line. SEU's FAQ defines tuition annually (the fee per ECTS credit is the annual fee divided by 60) and the programme is 6 years / 360 ECTS, so per-year is the consistent reading — but treat the figure as "tuition as published by SEU" and confirm the current amount with us before paying anything.
Accommodation: SEU has no hostel. Its own faculty page says a university clinic and a student dormitory are "planned … in the near future" (page last updated September 2024), and no housing cost appears anywhere on seu.edu.ge.
