David Tvildiani Medical University began in 1989 as AIETI Medical School — the first non-governmental medical school in Georgia, by the university's own history — and took its current name in 2011 in honour of its founder. WDOMS lists it as "David Tvildiani Medical University AIETI Medical School" (FAIMER ID F0001012), with instruction recorded from 1991. The English-language MD programme runs 6 years at 60 ECTS a year across two 20-week semesters, and NCEQE, Georgia's quality-enhancement centre, most recently accredited it on 29 June 2021.

Yes. The 2026 change covers state universities: from the 2026–27 academic year, Georgia's public universities stop admitting new international students (announced by Education Minister Givi Mikanadze, reported by Georgia Today in December 2025). David Tvildiani Medical University is a private university, so the rule does not apply to it. This is also why Tbilisi State Medical University no longer appears on our admission roster.

For FMGE eligibility what matters is the FMGL-2021 criteria, not the name on the parchment: duration, internship, English medium, and licensure in the country of study.
There is no university-specific minimum NEET score. However, India's NMC mandates a valid qualifying NEET score for all foreign MBBS admissions - minimum 50th percentile for General/EWS, 45th percentile for PwD, and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC categories.
